A limited series following a teen inventor who creates an advanced armored suit.
Set after the events of the film 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,' this series follows MIT student Riri Williams, who returns to Chicago and becomes entangled with the enigmatic Parker Robbins, aka The Hood. He helps her discover secrets that pit technology against magic, allowing her to create a suit of armor that rivals that of Iron Man. This sets Riri on her own path of danger and adventure.

Two episodes down and this show is terrible. This is from someone who tries to like everything MCU related. The writing is choppy, full of gaping plot holes, contrived, and doesn't flow. Things just sort of happen for their own sake.
The acting is terrible as well. They have ruined Riri's character from the movie. I'm just going to table this one for now. Maybe I'll watch it in the background while washing dishes or something later on.

i guess bad press from telling kids to sell soul to devil at end of last episode led to cancelation and declaration as limited series. shameless.

Well, it was not their best spin-off but I liked it. No black&white but someone who struggles (don't we all?). I am not up to date with the current canon but I was hoping that, in the end, she would make a different choice.
Looking for advice whether to watch this? Yes. Do. 4/5 stars

Episodes 1-3 dropped and so far the main character is an unlikeable, self-centered miscreant. The rest of the cast is like a flopping fish out of water trying to portray organized, competent criminals while blundering around slapstick while trying to deliver clever one liners that were banging back in 2020. This visuals are OK but the tone, plot, and dialogue all fall short. It's difficult to like or relate to the lead character who is essentially a villain. And not in an interesting way like Payback or Ocean's Eleven. She's supposed to be a genius but she never seems to be ahead of the game or have any ideas that would help her progress besides blackmail or larceny. Maybe episodes 4-6 pick up and finish well, but I'm not holding my breath.
