Dana Cypress is a single mother and cop living in a small town that is dealing with the fallout of a mysterious event in which dozens of local dead people suddenly rose from their graves.

With the locals scared, many see the "Revivers" as an affront to God and the laws of nature. While many of the non-zombies seem to act and think like they did in life, some people with revived family members start to notice odd symptoms in their loved ones, who seem to have come back wrong.
