That is the absolute textbook definition of the "One Last Job" trope, and it has been running on fumes for decades.
At this point, it feels like Hollywood has a giant template folder, and they just swap out the names. "Reformed [insert profession: bank robber/hitman/art thief] is forced to [insert catalyst: kidnapping/debt/blackmail] for one final job..."
