20 years have passed since we last saw Malcolm and his family. Malcolm now lives a happy life with his daughter and girlfriend, away from his birth family. But now he is forced to bring them into his family's chaos when his parents request his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party.

Ok Malcolm is wealthy now because he used his big brain to make a fortune and make the world better, right? And Reece has his own restaurant and millions of followers because he is a famous chef right? And dewey is the next Andrew lloyd Weber - because he is a musical genius, right? Or...is it the same dysfunctional family dynamic but now it's weird because they are all adults and their mom can't ground them.

Limited series that will probably destroy whatever legacy Malcolm in the middle had.
