ABC has canceled Off the Map as part of a flurry of moves that saw seven of its shows meet their end. Also canceled are Brothers & Sisters, V, No Ordinary Family, Mr. Sunshine, Better With You, and Detroit 1-8-7.
Dubbed as Grey's Anatomy in the jungle, Off the Map premiered in January of this year and aired 13 episodes. The show's series finale was on April 6.
ABC likely had much higher hopes for the show, positioning it to piggyback off the success of Grey's the same way Private Practice did. Ultimately the show did not pull in very impressive numbers, falling from a 2.0 average (adults 18-49) over its first five episodes, to as low as 1.3 three times over its final four episodes.

What a disappointment...this is one of the only shows I looked forward to watching this fall.

I am in shock!!! ABC really does not have any clue what people want anymore. They are too focused on teens and idiodic reality shows featuring dumb italians. WOW. I wonder if the head of ABC has to get their diaper changed. ABC really doesnt care about anyone in their 35-50s. If they slotted OFF THE MAP at a reasonable time, then there would be alot more viewers. Very unforturnate that finally a great story line hits and gets taken away. Thank you for leaving me to wonder.

Loved this show! My kids had me DVR it every week so we could watch it together. Every character was great and I loved the jungle medicine stuff. This was an awesome show and I really wish ABC would bring it back! There are not enough good shows on tv anymore, this one was a keeper!

Soooo disappointed to hear that it's been cancelled. I truly loved this show and I don't think it was given enough of a chance. BRING IT BACK AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

I cant believe it dropped off like that and was cancelled. Come on guys! This was actually a show where every character was well thought out and had likable aspects. Each actor was interesting and deep. I really hate that quality programming ends and shows like Jersey Shore hang around for season after season. It's tragic. Bring it back! I have to know what happened to Clark... and Mateo.. and Fuller.. and...lol.. come on!

I loved this show, now it's cancelled. Why? To put another medical drama on this channel, changing the location from the jungle to the desert. I hope this show can be brought back. I loved the characters and the story.

Well, that really sucks! I agree with everyone here! This was a GREAT show! I, too, do not watch much TV, but this is one show that I never missed. Off the Map producers--if you are reading any of this, shop around! You HAVE to keep this show on TV somehow! It was too good! I loved the locales, the characters, the drama, everything! Please find some way to bring it back! Futurama did it, and so did Family Guy--you can, too!

who ever decided to cancel Off the Map. must be supporting relatives who are in the most stupid reality shows. TV is losing more & more viewers because of exec who cancel great shows but promote the garbage that is on today. When will the crazy reality shows end and good tv start up again?????
