It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Renewed Through Season 9

FX has renewed the comedy series for two more seasons.

This weekend FX announced that It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been renewed for two more seasons, which will see the show on the air until at least Season 9. The extension makes the series the longest running live-action comedy on basic cable.

Currently on summer break, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns for its seventh season on September 15.
