NBC has ordered six more scripts for their new cop series Prime Suspect, making it the first freshman drama on the network to get a vote of confidence this season. It also joins sophomore series Harry's Law in getting more scripts ordered, but NBC has stopped short of handing out full seasons for any of their dramas so far.
Prime Suspect has struggled to attract viewers early in its run, earning a mere 1.5 adults 18-49 rating for its last two episodes after premiering with a 1.8. NBC has put reruns of the show in the spot of now-cancelled The Playboy Club on Monday nights, no doubt hoping to give the series more exposure in a different time slot.

I love this show. There is so much of this pseudo reality stuff on TV, and cartoons shown in prime time, and you take THIS show off?????!!!!! It's great. I don't personally know any NY cops, but it seems very realistic, and it is better than nothing. Been looking for a good cop show ever since NYPD went off the air. The acting is great, good plots, good scripts... WHY!!!!!

One of my favorite shows. I loved the characters especially Maria Bello. It captured the spirit of the city and was very realistic. The network changed the times the show was on so sometimes it was hard to find. It was quality TV, one of few network shows I watched. Maybe it can go to cable.

You must not cancle this show it is terrific. Maria Bello is a great actress and I want to see more episodes!This show and Harry Law are the only NBC shows I watch!

How can you cancel this show. It's terrific, the characters, stories, humor. Please don't cancel it. There are so many shows on your network that are so crappy. Give it another season and perhaps keep it on a constant scheduling night.

How to kill a great show? 'Keep moving it around on the time slots or keep playing reruns'. This is a great show! The writing and acting is a long overdue relief from survivors, housewives, singing, and dancing. We have enough reality in our own lives. You gave us back entertainment with this one now you want to cancel it, are you nuts!

Well I liked Prime Suspect, better then American Idol and Jay Lenno, so please do not cancel the show, cause this is the best show now that NBC have ever had.

This was the best new show of the season. I looked forward to every Thurs. night. There is so much crap on TV, this was a ray of sunshine. What I love about this show is how REAL it is. Ilove fashion, but come on. Do dectives really show up at crime scenes in $500.00 dress & spike heels. Sooo fake. Thank goodness for HBO. It seems the networks just have to keep dumbing down the quality of good shows to get the morons to watch.
