Six additional scripts have been ordered for the cop drama.
October 12, 2011
NBC has ordered six more scripts for their new cop series Prime Suspect, making it the first freshman drama on the network to get a vote of confidence this season. It also joins sophomore series Harry's Law in getting more scripts ordered, but NBC has stopped short of handing out full seasons for any of their dramas so far.
Prime Suspect has struggled to attract viewers early in its run, earning a mere 1.5 adults 18-49 rating for its last two episodes after premiering with a 1.8. NBC has put reruns of the show in the spot of now-cancelled The Playboy Club on Monday nights, no doubt hoping to give the series more exposure in a different time slot.

Very sad to see one of the only shows I continue to watch. It obviously did well in England and it's too bad it hasn't found it's audience.
Wish the network would have a little faith and continue with this well written/performed show!

Please don't cancel this show. It is one of the better series to come out this fall. Give it more of a chance to prove it's self.

MissingZena, sounds like you're describing the original series this watered down milk sop is bastardizing. If that's what you want to watch I suggest you watch the original. Not this uninspired atrocity.

Figures that a smart, strong female lead, with natural breasts and little make-up, who refuses to cow tow to the male ego would do poorly in the ratings. What does that say about us as a society ?!

I too love this show; one of the best of the new season. Please give it a chance but don't keep moving it around. Find it a home and keep it there so that folks can find it. How about Fridays at 9pm before Blue Bloods? How about Wed at 10?
Thank you for more episodes.
