ABC is readying the debut of the show's shortened third season.
January 10, 2012
Fans of Cougar Town, fear not. The show's third season is still a go as far as ABC is concerned. After being left off of the network's midseason schedule, worry was that the show had been quietly cancelled after already having its planned season cut short.
Speaking at this year's Television Critics Association meeting, ABC Entertainment president Paul Lee said that Season 3 of Cougar Town will likely premiere sometime in March. Nothing is set in stone, and no exact date was talked about, but things are looking good for the show's upcoming return.

I'm so EXCITED this is coming back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's as good as A GIFTED MAN! (which I LOVE, too)
Let's send a clear message to the networks that they need to keep more quality programming and less bottom feeder material such as FEAR FACTOR, AMAZING RACE, AMERICAN IDOL, X FACTOR, and the PBS NEWS HOUR!

According to the Official Facebook Cougartown page, the show is to return on or right near Valentines day.

This is a Fantastic show! Well written, great character development, wonderful acting...An A List show. Women in this demo are so busy earning the big bucks and spending them, they don't have time to write...so it's time we were represented! DO NOT cancel this show!

Why is this show even on? I hope it gets cancelled, highly overrated and cynical.

Ugh. 15 more episodes of this painfully unfunny show with loads of embarrassing dialog (fans of the show refer to this as "quirkiness"). I am guessing ABC just wants enough episodes to syndicate this gobbler and show a small profit, maybe someone will pick it up as something to show after Friends reruns. Can't wait for your next effort Bill L, but regardless, we will always love you for giving us Scrubs (the definition of quirky comedy).
