TBS announced today that Cougar Town has been renewed for a fifth season. 13 new episodes of the Courtney Cox comedy have been ordered for what will be the show's second season on its new network since moving from ABC this year.
"Cougar Town has been everything we hoped it would be: a smart, big-hearted, laugh-out-loud comedy that shines a bright light on the TBS brand," said Michael Wright, network president. "This season, the brilliant cast and immensely creative production team on Cougar Town have crafted their best episodes yet, and we couldn’t be happier inviting them back for more."
Season 5 of Cougar Town will return sometime in 2014. The show's fourth season finale will air on April 9, 2013.

I really don't like this show. I tried to watch it a few times, but it is not good. Cox is very fake and the plots stink.

I really don't even know why I still watch this show and I'm not even sure how it stays on the air. I'm sure it alienated older people and is weird for younger people to watch. The first season was interesting but now it's incredibly boring

Despite the name, this quirky show has really improved since its move to TBS. I tried to give it a chance early on but gave up, since its run on TBS I have actually found it to be funny and amusing. No, its nothing compared to House of Cards and all those incredible shows that have been cancelled over the years by failing networks, but it is a nice break from the face paced television I am usually used to. The show doesn't take itself seriously, which in turn makes it that much funnier. Also, oddly enough, Courtney Cox has also grown on me. I was skeptical about her guest starring on Go On (another show that seemed to draw me in), but she actually did a stand-up job. Ultimately what I am saying is those who feel it is garbage, just watch one of the latest episodes. It wont kill you, they only go for 20 minutes. I think you will be surprised.
