The sci-fi series will still be shopped to other networks.
March 5, 2012
Fox has decided not to proceed with a second season of science fiction series Terra Nova, effectively canceling the struggling show. 20th Century Fox studios, which produces the series, is keeping a small amount of hope alive by attempting to shop it to other networks, but chances of a pick-up appear slim at this point.
Terra Nova's cancellation was somewhat expected, given its mediocre ratings and hefty production costs. Fox has also recently filled up its roster of dramas with new high profile shows Alcatraz and Touch, which they expect will outperform the cancelled dinosaur drama.

This kind of Sci-Fi show needs to be renewed on SyFy channel. Sy-Fy is losing ground in the sci-fi area and needs this type of show. There is currently no good shows there.

WOW having a name attached like Steven Spielberg still didn't help this show out.
Too bad they spent ALOT of time on the love part of the show rather then the REAL plot of the show which is why they're there and what not.

So sad to hear of the potential(probable)demise of Terra Nova. I enjoyed the show so much more than Alcatraz, leaving me so confused I don't care, and Touch, a show leaving me wanting 24 to pop up again. Watching a family meld with a new society while keeping one eye for dinosaurs is so much more intriguing! It would be great if another network were to take over and we get to look forward to a good show!

I really loved Terra Nova. With all the crap on TV today this show was a breath of fresh air. TV is so bad today thank goodness we have Antenna TV and Me TV.

I do not undestand how reality shows can even compete with this kind of show. I agree, it's completly different, but I like to watch tv to get away from reality.
BRING IT BACK, cut something else, just not sci-fi :)

Really Loved Terra Nova! It is a huge mistake to cancel this show, while keeping mediocre Alcatraz & Touch. I do not understand why you keep canceling good shows. There's no other show with dinosaurs. They were not on that often anyway. It was the background stories & the fear of the dinos showing up that make the show unique. I watched every episode.

Some of my favorite TV shows are those who give repeat performances in the same week. Why-O-Why can't Terra Nova be one of these? Jason O'Mara is a terrific actor. Anyway, seems like there would still be plenty of money made. There are plenty of us who cannot afford the technology to record more than one program at a time. Please give us a break.

Are you kidding me??? It's hard enough to find something on television as is. Four million an episode is like a penny to us. Don't even try to go there. Great show with a lot of potential to keep going. Sci-fi here's your shot!!!! Grab it up and I will watch it every week.
