Fox has decided not to proceed with a second season of science fiction series Terra Nova, effectively canceling the struggling show. 20th Century Fox studios, which produces the series, is keeping a small amount of hope alive by attempting to shop it to other networks, but chances of a pick-up appear slim at this point.
Terra Nova's cancellation was somewhat expected, given its mediocre ratings and hefty production costs. Fox has also recently filled up its roster of dramas with new high profile shows Alcatraz and Touch, which they expect will outperform the cancelled dinosaur drama.

If Syfy is going to cancel Eureka they might as well as pick up Terra Nova.... I am soo tired of my shows being cancelled. I am about to go back to books only.

If Fox doesn't want it they SHOULD let someone else have like SYFI channel. I KNOW IT WILL PICK UP!!! We were looking forward to it's return!!!!! We were soooo upset when we heard it was canceled.

Wow I'm surprised to hear about this. I can't believe this I was looking forward to watch season two because season one was awesome. (At least i thought.) it was the best SyFy series I've seen. Does anyone know if it will show later like in the future??? I hope so.

I work for a company that supplied/s copiers to the Terra Nova production studio on the Gold Coast in Australia, I happened to notice they ordered a new copier last week. Not sure why a cancelled series would be ordering a new copier. Take what you will from that.

@ Kit, let's also not forget Toddlers and Tiaras. There's a show that needs to be cancelled if ever I saw one.
I agree with those of you who want Sy-Fy to pick up Terra Nova. It would be a great show to add to their line-up. : )

Terra Nova needs to be saved! Maybe TNT should pick it up.....someone else will pick it up and it'll be one of those "how stupid was FOX?" stories. Alcatraz can go.....quit taping that a long time ago. Where do they get these ratings anyway.....if my Tv is on, does that show get credit? Like Kit said....Jersey Shore is still on I don't know one person that watches Jersey nor have I ever seen an episode......ugh

This is a perfect show for SyFy to pickup! It has been a while since they came up with anything new that's any good. And what's with all the wrestling and other non-science-fiction garbage on Syfy? If I wanted wrestling, I'd watch Spike!
