CBS has picked up another season of the freshman crime thriller.

CBS has announced the renewal of Person of Interest for a second season. The freshman series has had a solid first run, with impressive ratings distinguishing it as the Number 1 new series of the season.
Five episodes remain in Season 1 of Person of Interest, with the next new episode set for March 29.
The network also announced good news for other dramas today, renewing The Good Wife, both installments of NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI, Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods, and The Mentalist.
Notably absent from the list were CSI:Miami, CSI:NY, A Gifted Man, and Unforgettable. While not yet considered cancelled, the future of these series does not look very promising at this point.

Excellent writing and great characters.This show has lots of twists and turns, and it's great you learn about each other past, and learn why they are,what the Johnathan Nolan and J.J Abrams keep up the great series........

Jim Caviezel is no joke. A long way from Passion of the Christ. Totally underrated as an actor.

I fell in love with this show from the get-go. The actors are so novel,and the characters are deep & rich in their personalities. Surprised initially when Emerson took such a "mellow", timid role after his "Lost" character. I understand why now. Would love to see him go rogue in an episode w/o the others knowing!! Anyway, I also love how different drama strands get added on; it keeps it interesting and new. Would love to see the show last long enough where all these people helped by Reese & Finch come back in future episodes to show their "grattitude". Nice to see a show where the bad guys(Reese & Finch)are the good guys & the good guys, or gals,(Carter) :) crosses to the dark side to do good. And Fusco,he's all over the place!! The moral/ethical dilemmas are rich. Makes you question what you would do. Nice to know you can live vicariously through the actors & not have to make those decisions. Like I say the unpredictability of the characters & story lines keeps it rockin'!! Also, you gotta admit...if you're having a bad day,this is the show to watch! Hurray for an intelligent, action-packed show that doesn't "wuss" on the violence and balances out with compassion & charity. You know good will prevail,eventually, but it's how they get to it that keeps me glued. Should appeal to guys and gals. Sorry to run on, but one last thing....my daughter saw how hyped up I was about the show & mesmerized by Caviezel, she got my a signed photo(w/ Cert of Authenticity) for my B-day!! Enjoy!!

Discovered this show around episode 9. It went straight to the top of my list. Wish it was 24 weeks instead of 22.

waiting for the next episode is torture enough.. can't imagine if it's cancelled.. THANKS!!! looking forward to another season of exciting episodes. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show.

Love that all my favorite shows are renewed and Person of Interest is renewed. This show is so exciting! I look forward to watching it every week.

LOVE this show, so happy they renewed it.. I think of him as a modern day batman. lol
