NBC has taken the new comedy off its schedule effective immediately.
April 27, 2012
Four episodes into its freshman run, Best Friends Forever has been pulled from the NBC schedule. While the move appears premature, it wasn't completely unexpected.
The series got off to a rough start when it debuted earlier this month in the 8:30pm Wednesday time slot, earning a modest 1.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. Its viewership fell in subsequent episodes to a 0.8 for its last new airing. For comparison, that's less than half the viewers of its 8:00pm lead-in, Betty White's Off Their Rockers. A new episode of Off Their Rockers is slated to air in the 8:30pm slot next week.
Best Friends Forever leaves two already-produced episodes unaired. NBC has yet to announced if or when they will air on the network.

Loved BFF, why do they cancel shows with great writing? Snooki & Betty Whites Candid Camera live?

I just watched 6 episodes of BFF on the On Demand My Primetime and couldn't get enough! This show made me laugh out loud, yet was also very heartwarming and got me a little teary-eyed at parts. I googled the show to see when it would be on next only to discover it has been cancelled! Why do they cancel the good ones?

I am really sad about this. I thought the show was pretty funny! Especially the episode about Steel Magnolias and "pulling a shelby" i laughed hysterically and told everyone i could about that episode.

I'm actually kind of sad about this. It was one of the few comedies that has come out recently that actually made me laugh.

I tape everything then delete off DVR if I don't like it. Full time job! Seems like USA? (Burn Notice, Suits, Fairly Legal etc etc) does 6 weeks on 6 weeks off or something to the effect. But anyway, I never even got to tape this show. Completely missed it. I remember it advertised once or twice but missed it. Wish the DVR had TIVO's thumbs up button. Remember when there was only 3 stations? President was on and that was the end of your night! We have it so rough.

I agree with John. It seems like the seasons start later and end sooner these days too. I watched the 1st episode of this show but it did not make my DVR list.

This show sucked bigtime, glad it's gone. They always seem to yank a halfway decent show to make room for some new crap show like this and then cancel it too. Seems like there is a new show debuting every week. Whatever happened to pilots in September, then midseason replacements after the New Year?
