Fox will conclude the sci-fi drama with 13 final episodes.
April 27, 2012
Fox has announced that Fringe has been renewed for next season, which will see the series conclude with 13 final episodes. Amidst falling ratings and time slot changes over the years, Fringe has persevered, bolstered by its legion of loyal fans. The final, shortened season of Fringe is a smart way for the network to provide those fans a satisfying end to the series, rather than have the show pulled abruptly from the schedule mid-storyline.
Season 4 of Fringe is currently winding down, with three episodes remaining until the finale on Friday, May 11, 2012. The fifth season is scheduled for the 2012-2013 season, but no premiere date has been announced.

I love Fringe and I am in the rating age that shouldn't! I also have stuck with it for every episode and do have spending power to buy the DXD collection. Thanks. Now, I have at least 2 TV shows to watch each week before they cancel them.

Thank you FOX for allowing the show to be brought to a fitting end. I have been so tired, in the past, of watching a show, getting involved in the story line/characters and then just having it end with no conclusion. This should be mandantory. How many people would watch the insipid reality/talent shows if they believed that the shows would end when there were ony 4 finalists left?

I am sorry to hear it will be ending, but very pleased they will get another season to wrap things up. The brilliant cast, writers, and we viewers deserve some closure. Thanks Fox, for giving them the chance to do this right.

Thanks so much for letting the show end properly. I have DVRed every one and I love it. I hate to see it go but thanks for giving it a proper ending.

As other fans of Fringe I'm glad it's getting a chance to wind down properly, as did "In Plain Sight". Fringe is the type of show that is too complicated to have so many breaks in the season. This type of show needs to be shown like Fox did with '24', all episodes in a row, no breaks; and stop changing the day of week, too. I think Fox did Fringe, and its viewers, a disservice by having so many breaks in between new episodes. I hope if they offer a new show of this type that they don't make the same mistakes.

I want to thank fox for not just ending Fringe leaving it's fans hanging. I have been a loyal fan and appreciate the show being allowed to end on a positive note. It always has bothered me to see a show just end with no notice. Thank you and hope all networks will learn something that loyal watchers deserve to have any show end without leaving it's fans wondering what happened

Awesome. Love Fringe, and I will be sad when it is over but at least it will be given a proper ending.
