The police thriller will end after its upcoming fifth season.

The production companies behind Canadian police series Flashpoint have announced that the series will be ending after its upcoming fifth season. The show's final 13 episodes have already started filming for broadcast during the 2012-2013 season on CTV in Canada and on ION in the US, as was confirmed earlier this year.
When Flashpoint began airing in 2008, US network CBS picked up the series but decided not to continue broadcasting the show after its fourth season. That's when ION stepped in, much to the delight of devoted fans. By the series finale next year, a total of 75 episodes of Flashpoint will have aired.

Please reconsider cancelling this show. It's one of the best shows I've seen in a very long time. The suspense at every commercial or show's end is amazing and the cast is outstanding. I even got my boyfriend hooked on it. Thank goodness the reruns are on after midnight when he gets home from work.

Please reconsider. This is such a great show and the characters are awesome. One of the best shows on TV. I can wath episode after episode and i just want to keep watching. Best cast ever.

I was happy when ION began carrying Flashpoint. Hate that good programming keeps getting cancelled and more and more 'reality' crap gets on the air. From the comments, there seems to be an open market for someone to start a network based on the quality tv. Hope someone capitilizes on it! Hate to see Flashpoint go, good chemistry, great stories. Not just anger and shot type of cop shows. Shows cops that are inteligent and think it through.

My husband and I turned this show on one night to find something entertaining on that wasn't a reality show (they suck) we have been taping this ever since trying to catch up on all the shows we missed. This show is so well written and the acting is, so remarkable. we love this show soooo much. I can't believe that we have found a realshow to watchonly to have it be cancelled after the next season. Surely the writers and producers should rethink this idea!!!!!

I wish there was something else that could be done. All there is lately is more law and order, reality TV, and now ridiculous dating shows. Nothing for a person to truly be entertained by a well acted, dramatic show. Very disappointed. I have seen nothing but comments pertaining to what a bad idea, cancelling this show is. Here, on facebook, on CBS, etc. Do the networks read the public comments at all?

PLEASE reconside, leave this show alone please. It is one show that my entire family enjoys. We have taped and are re-watching all the past episodes. Can't wait for season 5 but don't want them to stop there.

I THINK ITS STUPID HOW THE NETWORKS MAINLY CBS IS CANCELING THE GOOD SHOWS TO PUT ON THE LAMEST SHOWS LIKE REALITY SHOWS. WHO CARES ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE DO IN THEIR PRIVATE LIFE AT LEAST SHOWS LIKE FLASHPOINT AND CSI MIAMI WERE GREAT SHOWS. AND THEY WANNA CANCEL THEM TO PUT SINGING AND DANCING CRAP ON AND SHOWS LIKE ARMY WIVES SISTER WIVES ETC THESE SHOWS ARE STUPID STOP TAKING THE GOOD ONES OFF
