The police thriller will end after its upcoming fifth season.

The production companies behind Canadian police series Flashpoint have announced that the series will be ending after its upcoming fifth season. The show's final 13 episodes have already started filming for broadcast during the 2012-2013 season on CTV in Canada and on ION in the US, as was confirmed earlier this year.
When Flashpoint began airing in 2008, US network CBS picked up the series but decided not to continue broadcasting the show after its fourth season. That's when ION stepped in, much to the delight of devoted fans. By the series finale next year, a total of 75 episodes of Flashpoint will have aired.

I love this show, I am so hooked on it, the acting is excellent how can they possibly cancel this series...I just taped all the back to back episodes of this show...really such a shame.

Why are you cancelling this show? I love it, my mother (76) loves it and even my kids love this show. We all watch this together on ION and don't want it to be cancelled. Please reconsider your decision!!!!!

Just picked up this programme on sky universal and me and the family Love it!!!! Loads of PR in the UK papers, gaining momentum. Don't let CBS dictitate what we should and shouldn't watch.

I love Flashpoint and am sad it will be ending. I even watch all the reruns. Sorry to see it go

Flashpoint is on of the greatest SHOWS we had on TV in a very long time. We are so sorry to see you go. Why is it, that every time a truly great show comes on, it is cancelled after a short run? Thank you for all the heart warming and thought provoking entertainment. We look forward to the final season. We will miss you!

I really, really, like this show and hated how the story line was rushed to conclusion because of cancellation.

It's a shame that a good "CANADIAN" show like this is going off the air. I blame ALOT on CBS on this cause if they didn't drop it will continue to go on.

I notice all the coments are for the show to be returned next year. I hope another network will pick it up. It is sade to see those stupid reality shows returning and Flashpoint being canceled. You know as time goes on many things change, I think the age group used to survey the shows need to be changed. I am 70 but my taste in what shows I watch has not changed, the networks are making poor decisions as to what to keep and what to not keep.
