The police thriller will end after its upcoming fifth season.
May 1, 2012
The production companies behind Canadian police series Flashpoint have announced that the series will be ending after its upcoming fifth season. The show's final 13 episodes have already started filming for broadcast during the 2012-2013 season on CTV in Canada and on ION in the US, as was confirmed earlier this year.
When Flashpoint began airing in 2008, US network CBS picked up the series but decided not to continue broadcasting the show after its fourth season. That's when ION stepped in, much to the delight of devoted fans. By the series finale next year, a total of 75 episodes of Flashpoint will have aired.

I hate to see such a well written show leave. I hope it's concluded well. I wish someone would pick it up. Good shows get cancelled in faor of cheap bad ones.
Just because people watch the train wrecks that are reality tv, why have networks abondoned letting ones with a solid follwing leave? Many of todays beloved classics wouldn't have made it beyond the 1st season.

I want to thank the powers that be for giving us one more season of flashpoint. I have enjoyed the show, hate to see it leave but at least it's leaving with dignaty not like so many show's where they just disapear with no warning.
But maybe I would not have known this was the last season if your web sight was not there to tell us. Would be nice if the network that is showing the show would give us some way some how a message something saying oh by the way this is the last season their will be 13 more shows for season five and then we will be signing off. Is that so hard to do?? (just saying)
