The police thriller will end after its upcoming fifth season.
May 1, 2012
The production companies behind Canadian police series Flashpoint have announced that the series will be ending after its upcoming fifth season. The show's final 13 episodes have already started filming for broadcast during the 2012-2013 season on CTV in Canada and on ION in the US, as was confirmed earlier this year.
When Flashpoint began airing in 2008, US network CBS picked up the series but decided not to continue broadcasting the show after its fourth season. That's when ION stepped in, much to the delight of devoted fans. By the series finale next year, a total of 75 episodes of Flashpoint will have aired.

Please don't cancel this show. I started watching it in 2009 while I was on a work assignment in Germany. Watched it on my computer. It it by far the best cop show on TV (except for maybe NCIS:LA and that's only because I'm in love with LLCoolJ) I'm not Canadian but I love this show more than most American shows. Please reconsider. I love all the characters and the storylines. I've watched all the episodes and just recenly started all over with Season 1 on Netflix. I just this past week introduced the show to my daughter. Again, please reconsider

I discovered this show recently through my superviror at work. I am so in love with Flashpoint. PLEASE DO NOT CANCELL. I record every episode and watch them back to back, the show is entertaining, full of suspense and you become so involved with the characters personal lives and feel their pain when they are going through something personal. Out of all the cops shows I watch and trust me I watch all of them from CSI Miami, SVU, CSI, Criminal Minds, FLASHPPOINT in my book in #1. PLEASE RECONSIDER YOU DECISION to cancell.

Please Please Please reconsider and bring the best Canadian show back. I only watch 3 Canadian shows because most of them are bad but this show & The Listener are great shows. Once again dont take this show off the air or at least sell it to another network so we can watch it there.

No way they are cancelling yet another one of my shows this is getting to be ridiculous! Seems like every time I find something worth while to watch (as I refuse to buy cable because all I do is chanel surf) it gets cancelled. Hugh Dillon is the reason why I started watching but then I became attached to all the charters on the show. Quickly realizing that it was not just another cop show I have yet to miss an episode and wathc it religiously on ION. Waht do we have to do? flood the writers and director with letters? Get it together and leave the show on PLEASE.

It never fails every time I get into a show it gets cancelled. I didn't realize the show had been on since 2008 I just started watching last year and fell in love with it and the characters I am so in love with Hugh Dillon which was the reason why I started watching the show and then I realized that all of the characters were equally enjoyable to watch. I miss Lew and Wordy though. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW YOU WOULD DISSAPOINT A GREAT MANY VIEWERS!

They seriously need to rethink cancelling this show. This is one of the best series on. I think the public should choose what shows stay on. If the people chose Flash point would obviously stay on. Instead of letting a reality show air for a decade run a show the public actually likes and will watch.

NNNOOOOO!!!! CTV come on and get your heads out of the sand! Everyone complains that there is no good Canadian tv shows, this would be the reason why. First of all no one knows they are Canadian because they are so poorly advertised. And definitely advertised as such. When it is on Canadian television it always changes times so no one can tell when it's on. CBC ditched Being Erica which I only found out about after the first season, because shocker, it was only ever advertised on CBC. Seeing as CBC is known for mostly Hockey Night in Canada and News, I certainly had no idea there was real Canadian content. Then with Flashpoint, I originally thought it was another American cop show. No offense to Americans, but they are all the same already. I find out it's Canadian. One of the decisions to stick paying for my basic cable, and you are killing it? STUPID STUPID STUPID! grrrr.

Started really watching this show this past year. Great show, always interesting scenerios. I am recording all the episodes and watching them in marathon format. As of now I have 12 shows that I still need to watch and weekly more are added. Get rid of the reality TV shows. Seems that every where we turn we are losing shows from gifted writers that create all the "keep you on the edge of your seat nail biting dramas" in lieu of some silly reality series. I have to agree with Karen, Flashpoint is one of the best, if not the best show to come out of Canada. I really don't care about the troubles all these celebrites in these reality shows have. I think we normal people have enough of that to deal with day to day just trying to make ends meat. At least CBS made a good decision to bring bach Unforgetable, which by the way was one of the top rated shows that they cancelled.
