The network has pulled its remaining episodes from its schedule.
May 11, 2012
It is a sad day for fans of NBC's Awake. The network has cancelled the freshman drama. Only 11 of the show's 13 planned episodes have aired, but the remaining two are still on the schedule for the next two Thursdays.
Awake has had an up-hill battle since premiering as a mid-season replacement back in March. Its plot contained sci-fi elements, was rather intricate at times, and required dedicated weekly viewing in order to keep up with its running storylines. Unfortunately it didn't find enough of an audience for the network to go forward with it, however the fans it did have were passionate about the show's quality and uniqueness.

"Awake" was a intricate, quality show.
What's obvious is the networks no longer have ANY IDEA what classy meaningful, thought provoking shows are!
But.........by all means.bring on more of those classless reality shows!!

In my opinion, this show was the BEST show of the season; cleaver, and definately different than the usual fare. If there is anybody reading these complaints and possibly reconsidering this decision, please bring Awake back. I just watched the final episode and the final scene could just as easily have been another dream! I am sure the talented writers can spin a cleaver scenario that would keep us coming back.

I am so sick of the BEST shows being cancelled! It makes no sense how stupid reality shows thrive and good story dies! My goodness! I would say "what is this world coming to", but I already read about it in Matthew 6:3. LOL. Oh well.

The one program of the many canceled that I'd wished made it and am sad to see it go. Well done and would have had a good shelf life.

I just started watching this show through hulu. When I first heard about it I wasn’t excited but when I began watching I was hooked!!! I wish Netflix would pick up Awake! I hear they are interested in picking up cancelled shows – fingers crossed!

This is horrible!!! This was the best new show this season - maybe they'll change their mind when it wins an Emmy!! There is so much crap on TV now - I mean keep "Love in the Wild" and "Jay Leno's garage" and cancel this and Harry's Law - unbelievable!!! GOOD-BYE NBC!

I can't believe this! I didn't find out until 2day that my new favorite series is being cancelled!! Amazing writing, concept, and actors; and yet, it's gone! They left so many loose threads, such as:
1. What's gonna happen to Emma and her baby?
2. What's gonna happen to that drug ring that Captain Harper and Kessel are running? Is it going to get busted?
3. Will Hawkins (or the captains, for that matter) pay for what he did to Michael and his family?
Left too many things unsaid. WAY too many things unsaid.
Hope NBC changes its mind and renews it or someone else picks it up and renews it for season 2!

This is BS... nbc just like abc never give a show a chance(no ordinary family) to grow, like they use too back in the day. I Don't believe i will ever watch another show on nbc, they get your hopes up on having such a good show. wait don't blink cuase once you do, its already in cancellation befor even given a chance

I think the low audience rating has to do alot with the time
Millions of people go to sleep from 9 to 9:30 and being awake after 10 is like
Too much. Move the show to an earlier time your get time for the rest of us that cant watch it. I follow this show thr hulu. I love it !
