The Kevin Williamson drama has been axed after one season.

The CW has cancelled The Secret Circle after one season on the air. The freshman drama was created by Kevin Williamson, who also runs the network's most popular show, The Vampire Diaries. Ratings for The Secret Circle, however, never reached that of its vampire lead-in.
Also cancelled by The CW today was Sarah Michelle Gellar's new drama Ringer. Given renewals were Nikita, Gossip Girl, and Hart of Dixie.

Un-Freakin-believable. One of the first shows that I finally got into since the end of Smallville and now they are taking it off. Can't believe some of the crap they decide to keep on instead. Unless its a group of young people trying to play "grownup" like Gossip Girl or 90210 it seems the execs won't give it a chance. At least SuperNatural is still in the mix.

How am I going to find out what happens with Diana & Cassie??? If they are going to cancel shows then they shouldn't leave us with a cliffhanger.....that is not right...I have gone to the CW's website and left my thoughts as well.....Not a good day!!

How can they cancel the show after one season? I watch this show every week and I was looking forward to next season, only to find out that I am left in a permanent cliffhanger! Come on CW, and the producers, fight for a change to keep a show, please!

What?! This show is so fun to watch. Love to see what is going to happen next. I just can't believe it. Maybe they need to switch the time slots for Vampire Diaries and The Seret Circle. I'm in shock!!

cant believe The secret circle has been cancelled, its been a great 1st season and was really looking forward to whats going to happen next!! it was good to see other super natural programmes other than that of Vampires (which i watch as well) but really to cancel the show is shocking!! how are we to decide what to watch next....we will all get drawn into watching a new, for it to be cancel again!! which keeps happening before it was blamed on the writters strike.....programmes like dolls house.....Jericho.....roswell.....and now so many more!!

theres petition that dosent stop growing numbers im confident the show will be piced up again if not we have to keep fighting like when buffy the vampire slayer did...
