The CW has cancelled The Secret Circle after one season on the air. The freshman drama was created by Kevin Williamson, who also runs the network's most popular show, The Vampire Diaries. Ratings for The Secret Circle, however, never reached that of its vampire lead-in.
Also cancelled by The CW today was Sarah Michelle Gellar's new drama Ringer. Given renewals were Nikita, Gossip Girl, and Hart of Dixie.

I did not like the Secret Circle. I watched the first 2 shows and I realized that it was missing...ummmmm... I dunno'....DEPTH! Although the cast looked and act beautifully, the storyline was not "fresh". It seemed as if I heard the plot before on another show or movie.Yes, Vampire Diaries resembles Twilight, but the whole dopperganger fiasco lead the storyline into a new direction that intrigue me into finding out why Elena had an ancient twin.If a show doesn't appeal to me after a few runs, I just stop watching it. It's too bad for the Secret Circle fans because I know there are few who hate to see this show cancelled.To tell you the truth,it was low on ratings for a reason people!

So very sad to find out THE SECRET CIRCLE has been cancelled! I think it is a big mistake! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE run it for another season . . . or maybe 5 more seasons. It is a great show & we got no closure!

Everyone, they SAID they took it out because there wasn't enough views, how bout we all not watch whatever they replaced it with.
I guess ille watch greys anatomy,I want to be a surgeon anyway.

I am 51 years old, and I love The Secret Circle! Grey's Anatomy was my favorite show, but now it's The Secret Circle! I can't believe the CW cancelled it! They always keep the stupid shows like America's Next Top Model and Hart of Dixie (I watched it and it is stupid). What did they expect the ratings would be putting it up against Grey's Anatomy and the thursday shows on NBC? That is 2 or more shows I have watched on the CW that were great shows, and that they cancelled! I used to watch Nikita, but now that the CW has cancelled The Secret Circle, I will No longer watch Any show on the CW Network! This is one previous viewer they have chased away for good now!

R U REALLY SERIOUS??!! the secret circle is the da awesomest most spectacular show ever(besides the Vampire Diaries) why would they ever cancel it? of course the ratings for the show arent going to be as good as the Vampire Diaries because 1. it was never a book first 2. it just started and 3. Umm its the Vampire Diaries its trying to compete agianst... There will never be as many viewers as that. YOU ARE CRAZY if you think thats ever going to happen, but The Secret Circle is MY show i watchd that way before Vampire Diaries and i really need to see the relationship continue between the characters. ahhhh!! i am so flabergasted that they would ever THINK about getting rid of it!! I hate this. i really do.
