The Kevin Williamson drama has been axed after one season.

The CW has cancelled The Secret Circle after one season on the air. The freshman drama was created by Kevin Williamson, who also runs the network's most popular show, The Vampire Diaries. Ratings for The Secret Circle, however, never reached that of its vampire lead-in.
Also cancelled by The CW today was Sarah Michelle Gellar's new drama Ringer. Given renewals were Nikita, Gossip Girl, and Hart of Dixie.

If you are a fan of the secret circle there are a lot of petitions online so make sutre that yosign them all.im planning to lauch a youtube campaigne where all the secret circle fans post a video on youtube to say why they like the secret circle and why it should be brought back.also trtensd it on twitter

This was a great show. I am a mother of three teenage daughters, finding a show we can watch together is hard to do now days. But this was it. Now we are left hanging with whats next.

This makes me so mad! This was a great show! I really hope they rethink this and bring it back. The only reason it didn't have the same ratings was because it wasn't vampire related while vampires are huge. I think the new twist to add a show about witches was refreshing. I really hope they change their minds!!

I'm furious that they cancelled this show! It did have a slow start and some silliness, but then it got into its groove and I got really into it and now we're left hanging. WTH?!?! This show deserved at least a second season.

Yes go to the CW webssite and complain that is the only way to bring back a show!!

I love the show secret circle and would love to watch more seasons.. how an we keep this show on... I love V.D too and it was refreshing to have something to watch that was with differant super natral beings... CW Keep the show on....

Sooooo heartbroken!! I'll admit, there was a bit of a slow start for me. But it's sooo freakin good now!! Get rid of Nikita, keep secret circle
