A&E has cancelled Breakout Kings after two seasons on the air. The news comes just two weeks after the show's second-season finale.
Breakout Kings, which followed U.S. Marshals working with convicted criminals to track down prison escapees, was originally passed over by the Fox Network back in 2010 and subsequently picked up by A&E after lengthy negotiations. The series ends after 23 episodes over two seasons.

Why are so many people so sure the show was over when the actor that played the team leader was killed in the season opener? He was boring and had nowhere to go anyhow. Maybe it was the writing or maybe he just wasn't a good actor,but he mostly got in the way of scenes instead of adding to them.

What an incredibly stupid thing to do! One of the top 5 shows on television with some of the best acting going. The actor that played the Jimmi Simpson character alone was strong enough to carry a show,and that smoking hot brunette was enough reason to tune in just to look at her. Not that she isn't a very talented actress because she is,but man alive is she a hottie!
I really hope the network idiots wake up and bring the show back before the actors and writers are committed to other shows and it becomes impossible.

I get really tired of the stupid networks ending good shows. This one should stay on for Jimmi Simpson if nothing else.

The show has an interesting storyline, good writing, and acting. Many of the comments already posted are so valid. It wasn’t you’re typical crime drama; there was action and witty humor. A&E should seriously reconsider.

I cant believe they canceled the Breakout Kings. That was one of the best shows on the network.
