Freshman drama The L.A. Complex was notably missing from The CW's 2012-2013 schedule that was just released today. This news is really a no-brainer, considering the show's abysmal ratings over its first four episodes.

For its first two episodes, The L.A. Complex started out with a paltry 0.3 rating among adults 18-49. Things managed to get even worse from there, with it dropping a point lower to a 0.2 for its previous two airings. In terms of overall viewers, that's about half a million each week. Low, even by the struggling CW's standards.

Granted, it is a summer series produced up in Canada. The CW bought the rights to its 6-episode first-season, and come next summer they could opt to purchase the second season as well. But considering the show's ratings stateside, that looks unlikely to happen.

The best chance for fans of The L.A. Complex is to try and catch more episodes on Canadian network Much Music, since the show has already been renewed for a second season of 13 episodes up north. Season 2 is expected to premiere some time in July 2012. There is also the possible eventual DVD release option down the road.

For the time being, Season 1 of The L.A. Complex is continuing to air Tuesday nights on The CW. Two episodes remain, with its season finale set for May 29, 2012.
