The sci-fi series ends after four seasons.

Syfy has cancelled Sanctuary after four seasons on the air. The science fiction series, which debuted on television in 2008, ends after 59 episodes. Eight 'webisodes' were also produced for the Internet in 2007.

I Loved the Sci-Fi channel and have been watching it since 1997,they had Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis,Eureka,Stargate Universe, and Sanctuary and now only Warehouse 13, Alphas and Haven are left.If they go so ends my viewing of what was once called the Sci-Fi channel.

The first two seasons were really good. They were fighting monsters and battling a rouge faction. But when Dr magnus's daughter died the show went to s***.
They had no real direction, like primeval did after they killed off Dr kutter's wife it had no direction. And one or two cheese seasons later surprise canceled. They really should pick up shows like terra nova. I'm so sick of 10 different towing reality shows ,real house wives (those shows make me never want to get married). Those shows about pregnant teens. This is supposed to be TV a place to watch a show forget about the everyday bump and grind. But all the show is s*** that I can sit in my drive way and watch for free.......

While I am sorry to see StarGate SERIES go, yes even the Atlantis Continuuuuuum, I cant say that about Sanctuary. While I did watch several COMPLETE episodes of Sanctuary, I AM NOT SORRY TO SEE IT GO.

Ric, I think we can safely assume that the executives do not care one bit what people post on this board. They live in their own reality, which means for us, more and more REALITY shows.

SYFY you have let go some really good shows EUReKA AND Sanctuary that should not be canned... wrestling and those other reality show and of coarse your c rated movies suck.. you mite as well put cooking shows on here also.... BUT I HAVE AN IDEA---- WHY DON'T YOU PICK UP SOME OF THE SYFY SHOWS THAT WAS CANCELLED FROM THE OTHER NETWORKS,, LIKE THE SECRET CIRCLE,, TERRA NOVA THESE WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION TO THIS NETWORK...ALSO WE WOULD LOVE SOME FROM SYFY TO ANSWER SOME OF THESE POSTINGS... OR DO YOU PEOPLE NOT CARE ??????????????

I am getting bored of the number of SyFy shows that are cancelled.
Is it some rule of that channel that everythign that has any potential will be cancelled?
I hope SyFy closes down... When that happens, other programs will actually have a chance of surviving.
I wonder if SyFy are paid to kill off programs?

Sorry to see this go. While it had potential I was a bit disappointed with the plot for the 4th season and it appeared that they were preparing it for the cancelled pile. At least with this show like Stargate Universe they closed with a point that gave some finality but allowed for the option of reviving it in the future.

You can tell this is a NBC owned channel. I'm not a fan.of the show but soon they'll have nothing but paranormal reality shows and wrestling.

Can't say I'm sad to see this go. We never watched it, and we love syfy. Just as long as they keep Haven, Alphas, and Warehouse 13, we have no qualms with the channel.

syfy is going the the way of MTV & VH1. started out with music videos which made them cool and then killed them with no videos and dumbass so called realty TV
