ABC has cancelled Private Practice after deciding not to order the back nine episodes of the current sixth season, which will now be 13 episodes in length. The medical drama, originally spun off of the still-going-strong Grey's Anatomy, has aired over 100 episodes since premiering in 2007.

I will not be watching all the stupid mindless comedies on ABC, that you think the public wants.
No wonder cable TV is beating you in ratings. Cancelling a quality show like "Private
Practice" shows where you're heads are at. This years PP, was one of the best IMHO!
Please re-consider!

Extremely disappointed in the ABC decision to cancel Private Practice. If only you could switch to a more worthy channel,that better appreciates good drama, good writing and really outstanding actors. This is a low annoucement for us. If only you would transfer Charlotte and family and Amelia and 'new husband' to Greys...wishing!

Another great show being cancelled, I'm so tired of it. My TV time when the kids go to bed, Castle, Private Practice, Greys Anatomy and now Scandal. I love this show!!! Its my soap operas at night every week!! I just don't understand why great shows get cancelled. I am not going to watch those stupid 30 minute comedy shows, that are on this station these days, give me a break!! The only really good comedy shows were back in the 70's..The Jeffersons, Good Times, Sanford and Sons....what is this world coming too. I know...Lets ask Snooki!

I am just so dissapointed to hear that there are only 2 episodes left of private practice.I Don't know what ratings ABC is trying to compare to. I hope its not honey booboo or some Jersery shore crap. I love private practice.Along with Greys Anatomy, I had something to watch on tv. I do hope ABC reconsiders.

I am very sad that they have decided to cancel Private Practice. It was one of the few shows that I "had" to watch every week on real time (not DVR). There are so many stupid half hour shows that only make fun of people and make no sense at all. Private Practice was one that at least tried to deal with real life issues. I will miss it very much. ABC should reconsider!

You just can't trust ABC. I won't start their new series because they have cancelled some of the best ever: Boston Legal, Eli Stone, etc.

Ugh! All of the good shows are being cancelled, pretty soon all we'll be left with is mindless tv like jersey shore and family guy. Apparently the tv people think that we should all sit in front if our tv's watch crap that just makes us stupid! I really hope they re consider.

I also am very saddened that Private Practice will be cancelled...Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice have been my two favorite shows...So sad to hear about the cancellation and hope and pray they re consider there decision.
