ABC has cancelled Private Practice after deciding not to order the back nine episodes of the current sixth season, which will now be 13 episodes in length. The medical drama, originally spun off of the still-going-strong Grey's Anatomy, has aired over 100 episodes since premiering in 2007.

I can't understand these comments. I am surprised the show lasted after the 1st year. I welcome a new show that isn't so unrealistically convoluted.

I love the show I watched the very first season and then stopped for a year.then I decided to watch it again and got hooked please run all the episodes before taking it off . Although if I had my choice I would Love it if it would sty on .

You should let the last episodes end before you cancel the show for good. Its not fair to the viewers who have been watching it and then end it like it did. This sucks

OMG..first Brothers and Sisters and now Private Practice, Desperate Housewives and Eastwick just to name a few! ABC sucks!! The execs have no idea what they are doing! I am 54, daughters in their late 20s and mother in her 70s ALL loved these shows. Why not let the viewing public have a say??

So disappointed to hear of the cancellation. Please at the very least give us a conclusion and end it. That would be the classy thing to do.
