The military drama will not continue past its initial order.
November 16, 2012
ABC has cancelled freshman series Last Resort. The military drama will still air all 13 episodes of its original order but will not continue past that.
Since debuting in late September, Last Resort was hailed by many critics as one of the strongest new dramas of the 2012-2013 season, but ratings for the show failed to match up to its critical praise. This past Thursday's episode was its lowest-rated to-date, likely sealing its fate.

Leave it too ABC, they have idiots there. I remember when they cancelled "Flash Forward" which was one of the most innovated shows. I've ever seen. They cancelled "Detroit 187" as well in the past. Which really depicted the "twist and turns" of criminal investigations. I know since I'm a cop. ABC DO BETTER MARKETING FOR YOUR SHOWS. GIVE THEM BETTER TIME SLOTS AS WELL.

It's just like Jericho a buch of upset fans wondering why their show got cancelled. I have a theory it's because the story hits upon subject matter concerning the US goverment/politics. Oh no us "sheeple", might get uhealthy ideas from a fictional show. I am convinced this is the reason we now have "reality" shows. What better way to keep the masses in blissful ignorance, by watching some trainwreck they doesn't involve your own persona life. I'm guessing that Scandal and Revolution will be part of the cancellations as well, due to political/governmental themes.

The show was good. People are not going to continue to watch it once theyfind out its canceled. Their just going to replace it with some other show that will not do good. To many shows and not enough time to watch them especially during football season

I have enjoyed this show. It goes against Big Bang Theory, my mom and daughters favorite show, so I have to watch Last Resort On Demand, but watching it this way doesn't get counted. Which is stupid. It's very sad, that this show doesn't get to continue. It's incredible.

It never fails. I get interested in a show and some a**hole named Neilson says that he doesn't like it and it gets canned. If broadcasters are going to use a service like Neilson, at least make them update their service to include not only what is on the TV, but also what is watched online, legally and illegally. Otherwise, their results are NOT accurate and they are canceling shows that otherwise would have lived.

One of the best dramas on tv!!! Who is it that makes the decisions of what we like to watch and not! Why not open a website and let the viewers vote on whether they like it or not...What a shame...

It's a shame that this show has been cancelled. I actually liked this show. These days, it's like people would rather either see comedy or reality shows.. I wish this would continue.

Interesting.. I guess people would rather just live through other peoples messed up lives, then to be honestly entertained. Every smart show that is put out these days seems to get axed. I guess it helps reveal things about our current society.

I liked this show. I thought Andre Braugher performed very well. I am disappointed it was canceled, but I had a feeling it would.
