FOX has cancelled the struggling drama after one season.
November 28, 2012
FOX will not be renewing freshman drama The Mob Doctor after a low-rated first season. The struggling series got off to a slow start when it premiered this past September and never managed to pull itself out of its ratings funk.
All 13 episodes that were originally ordered will still air, but the some of the final episodes have been moved to Saturday nights. Fans of the show will want to take note of the following schedule:
- Saturday, December 29, 2012
- Monday, December 31, 2012
- Saturday, January 5, 2013
- Monday, January 7, 2013

Maybe I have poor tastes in entertainment, but this was quite a provacotive show which challenged the viewers to search their souls for ethical answers. How are ratings even determined? If I DVR a show and do not watch it until 3 days have past, does that qualify as a rated viewer? The show had a tremendous amount of potential and was cut short due to "low ratings." Might want to consider new avenues of determining actual popularity of a series before making the hasty decision to axe it from your line-up.

What a shocker ah? Not so much... I'd be shocked if they didn't cancel it! Anything worth watching is always the first to go. I'm pretty much getting use to but it's still a little irritating!!

I agree with many of the previous comments. My father and I started this show from the beginning and have loved it since. We even added it to our DVR list. Tonight we watched the last episode and were siked to see when the next season is, only to find it is cancelled. Truly disappointing. Many shows we watch are on Netflix because there is just NOTHING edgy, riveting, and remotely intelligent on TV the way it is. I can't express enough how unfortunate the cancellation of this show is, and I think Fox will regret its end.

This is the best show ever I just love it. The show keeps you on the edge of your seat. FOX you are making the biggest mistake in history. How can you cancel a show when it only has 13 episodes. FOX you got some real bad problems! Lot's of show get off to slow starts. Maybe some people had busy schedules when the show aired. I have seen every episode more than once.

Something tells me that another network might just pick this show up. If they do, Fox will look as stupid as it is. But it will all be ok because you'll still have Honey Boo Boo and the Jersey Shore whores for the mindless airheads ages 16-25. I hope another network takes a chance on this show (it's happened before) and it kicks your network in it's no-talent worthless ass.

It's typical that a good new drama would lose out to shows that cater to the goofy, flighty generation x kids who wouldn't know a good serious TV show if it kicked them in their empty heads. It really pisses me off that FOX will leave a show with Honey Boo BOO (that no talent skank) but will take a good drama off the air. I think my days of watching your network (with the exception of the NFL) are over.

REALLY? This show was great, can't believe it was cancelled. Fox def. is getting rid of a great show, I think more people enjoy this than they think.

You guys keep trash on the tube and get rid of shows that appeal to individuals with an IQ above 70. Way to go idiots.
