The long-running crime procedural will return in 2013-2014.
March 20, 2013
CBS announced today that CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has been renewed for a 14th season. Show star Ted Danson's contract was also extended.
"CSI is synonymous with CBS, and we are so proud of the series’ creative and commercial legacy and its continued success on our Network," said CBS Entertainment President, Nina Tassler. "The writers and producers have done an amazing job evolving CSI, reinventing the show around an incredible leading man in Ted Danson, the acclaimed Elisabeth Shue and our beloved and talented core of original cast members."
On the air since 2000, the long-running series still pulls in solid ratings and has spawned two spin-offs, one of which has since been cancelled. CSI will hit the 300-episode mark when it returns for the 2013-2014 season.
UPDATE: Season 14 of CSI premieres on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 10:00pm.

I'm glad it gets another season.. Especially with csi Miami no longer on :( Miami was my favorite. I don't understand why they couldn't give it an appropriate send off rather than canceling it.

Remember when Nick got buried alive in the finale? That was great but it was also like 7 years ago. This show has JUMPED the shark BIGTIME. I stopped watching a long time ago. This one is past its prime and needs to be taken out back and put out of its misery. Lets get some fresh shows in here!!!

Of course. It's easily written formulaic drama with exceptionally predictable story lines and dialog. I'm sure the senior citizens love it, just like they did Matlock and Murder She wrote.
