The freshman comedy will not return.
May 11, 2013
NBC has cancelled The New Normal after its first season. The Ryan Murphy-created comedy premiered last September and earned a full-season pickup from the network a month later. Ratings cooled over the latter half of the season, however, prompting NBC to decide not to continue with the show.

That is a little annoying, I quite enjoyed this show, it was actually a smart show and so much better than a lot of the crap that is actually on TV now.

Go On and The New Normal were two of my favorite shows on NBC.. With so many shows failing, maybe the execs that runs these networks should take a look in the mirror and figure out what they are doing wrong.

I have decided I will no longer watch any new programs on network TV until they hit a 2nd season. too many cancelations left in cliffhangers which is not a good thing for viewers.

Never watched it, did anybody, besides the president of the USA.

Loved this show - I thought the characters were very rich and and the dialogue was very funny! Incredible how this can go but Celebrity Apprentice stays on????

NO!! I am sooo upset - this was one of the few intelligent, consistantly well written, timely, touching, FUNNY shows I've ever seen....tell me it's not true!!

Damn, another good show bites the dust. I think the show was hilarious. No wonder NBC is at the bottom.

No big loss. I figured it would be cancelled as soon as I read the description last year. The only surprise is that it lasted a whole season.
