July 15, 2013
ABC Family has cancelled The Lying Game. Show star Alexandra Chando posted the following message to her Instagram account today, confirming the news:
To our awesome #lyinggame fans, thank you for these two amazing seasons. Unfortunately, Abc Family has decided not to bring us back for a third season. We so wanted to do 10 more for you guys! Thanks for your support and keep up with the cast to see what's next for us! Xx
The teen drama's now-series finale aired in March of this year, capping two seasons and 30 episodes on the air.

I never understood any of these abc family "mysteries"... They keep trying to recreate Pretty Little Liars ie a horrible show but for some reason gets high viewership. Fool us once shame on you fool us twice shame on us... give it up ABC family

While the show clearly could not last indefinitely, there were a number of plot lines that needed resolution. Such an abrupt ending is patently unfair to fans who deserve closure for their loyalty. ABC Family should at least consider a 2-hour movie to wrap things up.

ahh.. but is the cancellation a lie as well? hmmm.... tween drama has a way of sticking around far longer than many expect (or want).

so upset why do they always cancel the good shows and not even bother finishing up the story. I feel like I wasted a bunch of time on these shows only to be left hanging.

This was my favorite show of all time and now it's gone, ABC Family is so bad about keeping good shows and airing new pilots for fun
