NBC will not bring back the summer dramedy.
October 1, 2013
NBC has cancelled freshman series Camp. The Rachel Griffiths-led summer dramedy premiered in July but failed to find an audience over the course of its 10-episode run. Co-star Nikolai Nikolaeff broke the news earlier today on Twitter, posting:
"So... It was a great summer and I loved every minute of it. Sorry to all the @NBCCamp fans out there but no go on #CampSeason2. #upsetting."

Disappointed but not surprised. At least it ended well & left no real cliffhangers. I'll just make up what happened to the characters. It was a fun show. What a shame.

I am disappointed, it was a good show. I agree all the good shows always get canceled. That is why i am always hesitant to start watching a new show. For the people who didnt like it, they just dont know good tv.

Could have gone either way as far as I care. I DVR'd it and did finish the series, but was unimpressed. Rachel Griffiths is worthy of better writing. Good premise for the show, just too predictable and just plain boring at times. If this were a fall show, it would have probably been axed after two episodes. Nice try NBC.

You know im not overly suprised. I only watched it at 1st because it had quite a lot of the actors from Dance Academy. I was never able to get overly attached, it felt like a one season show, it didnt feel like it needed more, so really im not disappointed.

Wait, does that mean there will be no season 2 for Camp or that Nikolai Nikolaeff is simply not in season 2? Reading the Twitter quote, it could mean either.

Best show to premiere in 2013. Realistic, not a formula, and not straight sappy drama or moronic stupid comedy. Too bad it's gone.

How sad. This was such a good show. I wanted to know what happened to Cole in Alaska.

of course it was cancelled. the networks only care if the show is making them money. this was a summer show that filled the void of not having to watch repeats all summer...I don't understand why it just couldn't be shown again next summer. Really seriously how many people are sitting home during a beautiful summer night watching tv...and the networks wonder about low ratings in July...UNBELIEVABLE!!!
