Fox announced today that Masterchef: Junior has been renewed for a second season. The kid-themed MasterChef spin-off debuted this past fall, where it averaged 5.1 million total viewers and ranked #1 in its time slot in key adult demographics.
No return date has been announced as of yet, but open casting calls for Season 2 begin on January 18, 2014.

John, obviously you didn't watch the show and are working off a preconceived notion. As to Bob, HoundsOfJustice and John, please feel free to exercise the right of using your remote control and choose another program. HoundsOfJustice and John, your comments really demoralize the chldren who worked so hard on the show. All of them are Master Chefs in my eyes!

Why does John get to comment, when it's clear he has never seen the show? Chef Ramsay was awesome with the children. All of the judges were. They supported the children when they messed up and helped them learn from their mistakes. I was really impressed with the children. Most of them were great sports and worked well under pressure. They've accomplished so much.

Sadly reality shows are easy and cheap to produce. They aren't going anywhere. Gordon needs to be smacked for his attitude. I can't imagine they let him berate kids like he does adults? It's probably all rigged and fake anyway...

ugh. while i do enjoy master chef, and i was seriously impressed with how well the kids could cook on the first season, the show felt forced and awkward. i won't be watching.
