Fox announced today that MasterChef: Junior has been picked up for an eighth season. The good news comes the month following its Season 7 finale, with the pint-sized culinary competition eyeing a mid-season return in 2019-2020.
Since its premiere in 2013, the MasterChef spin-off has been a reliable performer for the network. Sticking to the tried and true format, the cooking competition features children showcasing their culinary talents in a series of challenges and cook-offs. Host and award-winning Chef Gordon Ramsay is joined by guest judges as they coach the promising young chefs to cook like professionals.
Joining the show as a judge for Season 8 will be Daphne Oz, a TV host, author, and chef. Additionally, contestants will cook up meals for diners at a renaissance fair and a motocross track.
