Fox announced today that MasterChef: Junior has been renewed for a third season. The news comes less than three months after the pint-sized cooking competition was picked up for season 2, which has yet to premiere.

Eight episodes have been ordered for season 3 of MasterChef: Junior, with production on seasons 2 and 3 set to begin this spring. No word yet on when the show will return to air.

UPDATE: Season 2 of MasterChef: Junior will premiere on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 8:00pm.
