Production has shut down on the new comedy.
January 28, 2014
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Sean Saves The World, stopping all production on the show today. The freshman comedy has struggled in the ratings since its premiere last October, failing to find an audience in its Thursday night time slot.
A total of 18 episodes were ordered by the network, 14 of which have already been shot. The show is currently twelve episodes into its run, and it is possible that the remaining two will be aired once the upcoming Olympics are over.

Really sad news!!! It's not often that you see the actors all mesh well and this show did just that. Sean Hayes is really funny as is the show. I always looked forward to seeing Sean Saves the world. Really pissed off and disappointed. These networks don't give shows enough time to develop a fan base. Idiot execs.... "What...it's already been on air for 3 episodes and we don't have 10 million viewers yet? Cancel it! " just plain dumb@#&$(!!!!

Wow... sad news. This was one of the highlights of the new viewing season. Lots of talent on this show and it wasn't given a chance. Guess it wasn't depressing enough... like SO many other shows that do well.

I'm so disappointed that this show is cancelled. I really liked this show, thought the comedy was great and will miss watching it. Wish that they would reconsider this decision. Boo hoo!!

Say it isn't so. Love Sean Hayes in the show. Super funny. The whole cast worked so well together. So sad!

Michael J Fox has a set 22 episode season in his contract. The HAVE to air (and pay for) 22 episodes. I'm sure that's why that show is still on the air.

They really need to rethink about cancelling this one. The characters are growing into their roles and the show is funny. This is the ONLY show I watch on this station. Otherwise, my tv is either off or I'm watching reruns of 'Raymond' or 'BBT.' Please reconsider!

I loved this show... I watched it for 7 weeks on nbc.com while my Dish and general media were in disputes over local programming... wonder how much that had to do with the sitcom getting a decent start. But it was funny and brilliant. Love Sean Hayes.

That a bummer and Michael J. Fox should be looking over his shoulder. I liked SStW and with any luck the whole season will show up on On Demand or Netflix (nothing should end up on Hulu, that's just wrong).
Look on the bright side; Wipeout was renewed for season 7 and Survivor was renewed through 2015. Ugh.

I am disappointed this show was cancelled. It was smartly written & very funny. NBC should give it a chance...maybe try another time slot on a different day! Remember Seinfeld was not an instant hit either.

Sean Saves the world was one of the worst shows on television behind, The Michael J Fox show and the Assets. Michael J Fox is on because of certain reasons that you already know and Brooklyn Nine-Nine is so much better than any new comedy on NBC. Also Dads needs to be cancelled like Welcome to the Family stop wasting money and time. Finally ABC should realize that Tuesday 10pm slot is a desert because shows don't last. NBC should just cancel all there Thursday night comedies and start all over.
