Production has shut down on the new comedy.
January 28, 2014
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Sean Saves The World, stopping all production on the show today. The freshman comedy has struggled in the ratings since its premiere last October, failing to find an audience in its Thursday night time slot.
A total of 18 episodes were ordered by the network, 14 of which have already been shot. The show is currently twelve episodes into its run, and it is possible that the remaining two will be aired once the upcoming Olympics are over.

Ugh!!! Another fabulous show canceled - UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Of course ridiculous trash stays on TV season after season, but yet smart, hysterical shows with a fabulous and talented cast gets cut. Network TV - you truly suck!!!!

Well I sure hope they find another show for Sean Hayes he is an awesome actor. We really loved this show, he was so much like Jack in Will and Grace.

Sean Hayes and Thomas Lennon are hilarious in this show and greatly compliment each other. The rest of the cast is also fabulous and getting better week to week. I really hope NBC keeps this on because we're running out of good sitcoms. All that's going to left are those crappy reality shows, WHICH SUCK!!!! Please NBC give it another season.

Once again NBC cancels a show that was getting funnier every week. Why don't they put it on another night and see if they can get more viewers? NBC hasn't figured out that thursday night means death for their comedy shows. After they cancelled Go On and The New Normal last season I vowed to watch fewer shows. Looks like I should just abandon network tv for good.

Sean Hayes is hilarious in this show and it doesn't deserve to be cancelled. If it isn't doing well on Thursday night, move it to another night. This is so disappointing!

Besides "The Millers", this was the best new comedy this season. Nielsen ratings are so far in the past, it's like comparing the sales of VHS to DVD. I also think the houses the boxes are in to report Nielsen ratings are not a representation of what most people view. So many shows don't get the time they deserve. I believe they should have let it run the full season and just moved it to another night to see how the ratings would compare. If you have noticed NBC has not had any luck with shows in the 7 - 9pm slots for Thursday nights. The biggest problem is "The Big Bang Theory" is the number one comedy and has been for years, and like all number one shows on CBS, the poor people who are watching that channel decide to stick around and watch the shows after instead of flipping the channel. I am sorry but "The Crazy Ones" is not something myself or any of my extended family or friends enjoy or find remotely funny. I can see the competition with the millers and Big Bang Theory (even though I have not really cared much for it. If I was NBC I would have moved it to another night, perhaps Tuesday after The Voice. Last time it aired on Thursday following the voice the ratings improved quite a bit. NBC hasn't been able to bring back a successful Thursday night comedy block for years. If they have learned anything Thursday's shows on NBC are almost all cancelled. You just can't expect to compete with CBS's Thurs night comedies because for some reason they all do amazing, especially this season. My BIGGEST problem with ABC (Already Been Cancelled) and NBC ( Next to Be Cancelled) is these two stations seem to be the worst at not allowing an audience to grow, it is the shows better do well usually the first two episodes, sometimes 3 or 4 or asta la vista. I can't say any other non-cable channels are much different than Abc or NN. Bit at least CBS is sometimes improving with a show that might not yet have an audience with the Nielsen ratings they would like, but still give some of them a chance. Sean Saves the World is a hilarious comedy that deserved to be moved to another night or a full season. Hopefully another network (cable of course) will realize the greatness to this show and pick it up, for instance TBS (like with Cougar Town **smart choice TBS***. SOMEONE PLEASE SAVE THIS SHOW, let YOUR network steal the viewers and make NBC wish they didn't cancel this brilliant and funny show. It seems since the writer strike of 2008 has made the networks cancel shows quickly. You would think with the amount of shows the broadcasting companies go through every fall, winter and spring, they would realize the ratings system is out dated much like most of the programming they keep. I would like go know WHO ALL these viewers are who LOVE reality shows would just watch TRUtv or other "reality" scripted shows.

Very disappointed when I heard about this cancellation. This was smart, funny show. Better than most of the other dribble on the air. How did this get cancelled and a show like MOM not get cancelled?? I guess smart shows cannot make it on network TV. Too bad
