NBC announced today that it has renewed Chicago Fire for a third season. The sophomore drama has continued to perform well during the 2013-2014 season, pulling in stronger numbers than its debut season after a move from Wednesday to Tuesday nights.
The peacock network has also renewed spin-off Chicago PD, which premiered earlier this year.
UPDATE: Season 3 of Chicago Fire premieres on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 10:00pm.

Great show. The acting is superb and each episode has never failed to upset me except for the one about the bombing of the hospital. Just found that one not like the others I watched.

great to hear that Chicago fire will return for season 3 and hopefully many more.ALSO GLAD TO HEAR Chicago PD will be back it is also a geat show.

Awesome. This is one of my very favorite shows airing on regular network TV. Chicago PD isn't too bad, either.
