Fox has cancelled new series Surviving Jack after one season. The freshman comedy will end after a short 8-episode run with its scheduled finale on May 15.
The network had originally ordered 13 episodes in early 2013, but cut that number down to eight late last year. The show finally premiered this past March but failed to draw significant viewership.

I agree with Ernie. I though Surviving Jack was the new Married With Children.
Friday night is just death for a TV show. Even the original Star Trek didn't make a successful run on Friday's.
Put it up against something like 2 Broke Girls or
the gone-on-way-too-long Two And A Half Men and see what happens.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!! Seeing Christopher Meloni as someone other than Stable was great, who knew he was so funny! Can't believe Fox is cancelling after only 8 episodes! What idiots!

This will go down as a huge mistake in Fox's history. Right up there with the geniuses who decided to cancel Family Guy. This show is too smart, too real and too funny to be cancelled. Why does crap like Hell's Kitchen continue to be renewed but genius, laugh out loud comedies like this get cancelled. "I will not let your black hearts ruin Surviving Jack oh Fox executives."

truly upset that Fox is cancalling Survivivg Jack it was best comedy sitcom on tv. maybe nbc or abc will pick it up if Fox doesn't reconsider.

Wow this is a great show and shouldn't be cancelled! Its to the point where Im just not going to watch any more new shows that come out because they all just get cancelled so why bother?!?! They reel you in, get you hooked and then BAM they take it away! To many good shows are getting cancelled and stupid ones are being renewed! Come on Fox give it a chance with one more season to see how it does before throwing it away!

Another show fox never really gave a chance. It was funny did nto have a bunch of crude sex jokes every 2 min. I would have liked to have seen this show given more of a chance to even develope any ongoing story lines.

Why do they always cancel the shows I love? Christopher Meloni was just awesome!! I loved seeing his comedic side. He just did everything right. To me, he made the show. I can't believe Fox made such a stupid decision. Way to go Fox. What a dumb**** move. What's next? Canceling The Simpson's? MORONS.

Fox has not given this show a fair chance. I thoroughly enjoy this show....so funny, an example being Episode 7. There are other shows Fox can cancel that waste people's time and insult their intelligence. They definitely made a mistake. Really a dumb move for Fox.

Loved this show. I'm going to have to boycott fox. If you miss an episode you can't watch it on demand. They cancel great shows like this and continue with shows like American Idol that frankly sucks now. The kids are pitchy and the judges only there to promote their own crap.
