ABC has renewed Modern Family for a sixth season. The popular comedy will be wrapping up Season 5 on May 21, capping another successful season as one of TV's top comedies.
Look for Season 6 of Modern Family to return in late September.
UPDATE: Season 6 of Modern Family will premiere on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 9:00pm.

Love to look forward for Season 6. Sofia Vergara is hot on the show, so are Sarah Hyland and Ariel Winter. Who knows what could happen in Season 6 such as another Married With Children reunion with Ed O'Neill's guest stars Christina Applegate and Katey Segal. I also would like to see Steve Harvey guest star as himself on an upcoming episode when the Dunphy family appear on the game show "Family Feud". My idea for an upcoming episode of Modern Family, a recreation of the classic movie "The Wizard of Oz" with the entire cast of the show playing characters from the movie with Sarah Hyland playing Dorothy, Sofia Vergara playing the Wicked Witch of the West, Julie Bowen playing Glenda the Good Fairy, Ty Burrell playing the Wizard, etc. Sarah Hyland is the prettiest actress on the show. Love to see her guest star on Sesame Street in 2015. Looking forward to see the reruns to air on Lifetime while the reruns are shown on USA Network soon.

Think this show has pretty much had it's day!
I agree that it is still a funny show which is due to great actors and excellent writers and I'm glad it has another season but the writers should use this renewal to wrap up the series (as well as The Middle)and finish on a high.
Interesting comment Mark, it's funny that you felt the need to actually click on a link to a TV show you have never watched and then write such a well versed and though-provoking comment ;)

Very glad to see this renewed. Still one of the funniest shows currently on TV.
