ABC announced today that Modern Family has been renewed for an 11th and final season. The good news follows recent word that the entire cast has agreed to new deals to return to the veteran series for its final run.
The award-winning comedy has been one of the network's strongest performers during its time on the air. While current ratings are not at the level of its heyday, it remains one of ABC's highest-rated scripted entries.
The number of episodes planned for the final season is not yet known, though it will likely fall within the typical 18-22 range. Look for a return this fall.

Great ending. Good luck for future endeavors for the actors and actresses.

I loved this show and for years it was one of the shows I always saved for when I needed a pick-me-up and a good laugh after a hard day. But for the past three or so seasons it's clear the writers have been having a hard time coming up with new material and I suspect the actors have become bored with their roles.
Its ending is about time but it will always be fondly remembered.

Hope we get the Married with Children reboot now that Ed O'Neil will be free.

This jumped the shark years ago. I am glad to see it go.
