The Robin Williams comedy will not return.
May 10, 2014
CBS has cancelled The Crazy Ones after one season. The Robin Williams comedy got off to a strong start when it premiered last September. Four weeks into its run it ranked as the season's #1 new comedy, causing the network to pick up the full season of the show.
Things, however, got worse during the second half the season. Ratings started to dip, and by its finale fell to less than half of what it pulled in during its early episodes.

I tried to view this program on
at least 3 occasions, unfortunately, it was too painful to view.

Not suprised at all that "The Crazy Ones" was cancelled. I never liked the show. "The Crazy Ones" was a terrible show and possibly the worst sitcom (if you could call it that) on T.V. I have been a hard-core Robin Williams fan since his days with "Mork and Miindy". So me saying this, then this show must be BAD.
This shows problems: terrible scripts, stupid plots (especially the one about the old British chick who had a seniors' dating website and was their client by day and Sydney's friend by night and Simon's sex partner by night) the charactors not acting like people in an office, the show not knowing if it were a sitcom or a drama, Sydney Roberts being a totally annoying character, Robin Williams just playing himself. The show had a few slightly moments when Robin Williams was allowed to improvise. One of the only things that worked on the show was the casting of "Gordon" the other partner - since the actor playing him (Was he from "Everybody Love Raymond" ? ) was a foot taller then Robin Williams. When the outtakes on this show were actually more funny and interesting then the actual show, then you know something was wrong.
Robin Williams is (in least my opinion) a both a brilliant actor and brilliant comedian. He just has to make better choices of what acting vehicles he takes on.

I watched this show for a few episodes then dropped it. I realized that Rob Williams was the humor in the show but overall the show wasn't that funny. The bloopers at the end of the show was usually was funnier than the show.

This show's best episode was its premiere..not surprising it got the ax.

What do you call "CRAZY"??? When CBS lands a LEGENDARY comic -ROBIN WILLIAMS-puts him in a quirky sitcom called "The Crazy Ones" in which by the fourth episode is rated NUMBER ONE, then when the ratings dip a bit at the seasons end, CBS takes this terrific show w/great cast and runs it through the shedder. Oh, goody(NOT!) Now they will replace it with another 'blood & guts' pile of crap next season, where all show characters play musical-sleep-around.And PBS just showed a special on "Legendary Comics"(Robin Williams,Johnathan Winters,ETC.) Once again, CBS shoots its own foot!!

Sad - very sad. I'm sorry this one didn't catch on. Clearly was a polarized show. Lots to love, but clearly a lot of folks weren't able to connect. Too bad - mostly to be expected when many of the jokes were written for people with more than a 5th grade education. Also - I'm sure the payrole was way up there. Dang. I love this show. A great mix of comedy and heart.

Robin Williams has NEVER been a great actor. And he is just an annoying comedian - throwing out random, unrelated, statements which cause laughter form being uncomfortable - sort of like laughing when you fart in an elevator and people catch you - but that's not humor. If it were not for the pseudo kids show Mork & Mindy no one would have ever heard of Robin Williams.

I love RW, but I stopped watching when i realized this was a show-length commercial for whatever product they were working on each week.

@ bobby.. You do realize that the crazy ones was on CBS not ABC. So ABC keeping the bachelor or the bachelorette has nothing to do with the cancellation of the crazy ones.

I didn't have time to watch this show but I had planned to watch if it was renewed. I watched the pilot and thought it could be a winner. Guess I won't bother watching this one at all. I love Sarah Michelle Gellar and Robin Williams. Would have been nice to see this combo survive. Sad to see the show get axed nonetheless.
