I agree with you Dan. I thought I was the only one that didn't like the Rusty sub-plot. He is always at the police station.

I too enjoyed "The Closer" and have enjoyed "Major Crimes" but I cannot stand the Rusty role. I also fast forward through all Rusty-related scenes. The kid just grates on me. Many of these situation shows plan their own demise by straying too far from what made them popular.

The Closer was a great ensemble and we never missed an episode. Major Crimes is even an even better show.

I was so happy to see on my IPad that the show is being renewed for a fourth season . Love the whole cast.

I love the depth and strength of the characters on Major Crimes. When The Closer ended, I didn't know if I would like the spin off, but now it is one of my favorite shows. (The other being The Big Bang Theory!) I'm very happy Major Crimes will continue!

Thank goodness! I enjoy all the characters and always look forward to watching.

The Closer had its own subplots with Brenda's home life so I don't understand the criticism toward Rusty. Is it gay-related? I think they've kept a healthy balance on Major Crimes and I particularly enjoy that it's far more of an ensemble program than the Closer was.

Barry, you are so right! I record the show specifically for the ability to fast forward through all Rusty-related scenes. But the show really has become too formula driven. I've been watching reruns of The Closer and it's really more interesting than this version.

Great show in the past but now seems to be dominated by a really, really irritating "Rusty" subplot. Currently re-evaluating if I really want to keep watching this show.
