NBC has renewed freshman comedy Undateable for a second season. The summer series premiered in late May, airing 13 episodes through early July.
Showrunner Bill Lawrence broke the good news this evening via Twitter, writing, "Overexcited to do 2nd season of a Undateable on NBC. #pickedup"
Word is the network has ordered 10 new episodes of the series for next summer.

I'm so glad this got renewed, easily the funniest ne show out this 2013-2014 season. This is a excellent decision by NBC to keep it and honestly the best show on NBC behind the voice and Law and Order S.V.U., also the cast on this show are so relatable that when you watch the show you feel like it can be you with them. Congrats on you guys for getting a second season, see you next year.

Surprising. But then NBC has very few quality sitcoms any more. This certainly isn't one, but I suppose it fills a time slot.
