No Season 2 for the new thriller.
October 17, 2014
It is being reported that freshman Lifetime series The Lottery has been cancelled after one season. The futuristic thriller, which followed a global fertility crisis, aired 10 episodes over the summer but failed to draw a significant number of viewers.

There was so much I hated about this show, first it was set in DC yet they used famous Montreal landmarks for many scenes, second a fertility crisis? sounds more like a blessing so it never made any sense, these people should be out enjoying the world without the burdens of future generations to be concerned with, finally no more tax dollars going to education.

I liked this show, but my concern was how long they could keep a storyline going. Too many new shows seem to be coming on these days that are geared towards just one season or maybe two. Then when they don't get cancelled, the storyline suffers when that one or two seasons is over. I was afraid this was going to be one of them. So though I liked the show I can't say I am really surprised it didn't get the viewers it needed.

I had faith in Lifetime giving shows a chance. This was a really good show.
