Netflix announced today that The Night Agent has been renewed for Season 4. The news comes two weeks after the action thriller released its third season.
"It's been a wild ride filming The Night Agent in five countries across three continents to this point and we're so thrilled that the adventures of Peter Sutherland will continue into Season 4. Our writers, our cast and our crew stand ready to answer the call to bring our incredible fans even more twists, turns and thrills."
The series has continued to be a fan-favorite since its 2023 debut, with its freshman season currently at #10 on Netflix's most popular list. Season 2 premiered at #1 with 13.9 million views in its first four days of release. Season 3 hit #2 on the English TV list and earned 9.9 million views in its second week, with viewers driving Seasons 1 and 2 back into the Global Top 10 list.
Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent follows low-level FBI Agent Peter Sutherland, who mans an emergency hotline for American spies in the basement of the White House. The phone never rings - but when a call comes in from a terrified civilian, Peter must find a way to protect her while working to uncover a dangerous conspiracy that could lead all the way to the Oval Office.

The writing on this show is so lazy, the situations so absurdly unrealistic according to the actual jobs being portrayed. This is the kind of show that would have worked in the 60's to 80's, but not now, and I don't know how people's standards have gotten so low as to enjoy this. Mindless fluff is ok, but at least put a tiny bit of effort into the writing.

Season 1 was great, season 2 was not great, season 3 so far is ok, I'm only on the 4th episode. Still surprised it already got renewed.

Really enjoyed the first season, not my favorite but a fun time killer. I stopped watching on the 2nd season when the kid got shot - just started feeling like the good writing was being replaced with engineered drama and couldnt get back into it.
