November 17, 2014
TV Land has cancelled veteran comedy Hot in Cleveland, confirming today that the show will end after its current sixth season. The cable network released the following statement regarding the news:
It’s been an honor to work with Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and the incomparable Betty White as well as our executive producers Suzanne Martin, Todd Milliner, Sean Hayes and the rest of our exceptional writers, production team and crew. The passion and talent they brought to the set each and every week over the past five years has put TV Land on the map as a network dedicated to quality original programming. We will continue to celebrate the show and are looking forward to a fantastic series finale.
No finale date has been set at this time, as the show is just two episodes into its sixth season out a total of 24 on order.

Enjoyed this show. A shame. I was wondering why it was cancelled, then I saw Sean Hayes' name among the thank-you's...

Lasted six seasons too long. It was just a regurgitation of Golden Girls.

FINALLY! I can't believe it took them this long to see the light about this show. cheese city. I think that people think that just because Betty White is so loved that everything she touches is instant gold. I honestly think that's why TVLand kept this going so long when it really didn't deserve to.

I was surprised to see this show on the canceled list. One of my faves!!! Superb actresses in this show! I hope they all go on to do other great shows. Particularly Betty White. I would love to see her on TV until the day she dies! She is amazing!

I liked the first couple of seasons but after that it jumped the shark. It got REALLY farfetched and too over the top for my taste.
