The comedy will end after Season 6.
November 17, 2014
TV Land has cancelled veteran comedy Hot in Cleveland, confirming today that the show will end after its current sixth season. The cable network released the following statement regarding the news:
It’s been an honor to work with Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and the incomparable Betty White as well as our executive producers Suzanne Martin, Todd Milliner, Sean Hayes and the rest of our exceptional writers, production team and crew. The passion and talent they brought to the set each and every week over the past five years has put TV Land on the map as a network dedicated to quality original programming. We will continue to celebrate the show and are looking forward to a fantastic series finale.
No finale date has been set at this time, as the show is just two episodes into its sixth season out a total of 24 on order.

6 seasons is a good run for a show. They are doing a finale, it's not like its canceled mid-season or anything. Why do most Americans want shows to keep going way passed their sell by date? Shows get stale after 6 or 7 seasons anyway (look at the Big Bang Theory) it's awful now. It's better to end the show and have a finale after 6 seasons then to run it into the ground.

Well that's the only thing worth a darn on TV Land, everything else is utter garbage. Hope Betty White is okay, but if you canceled it for other reasons you all are fools.

I am disappointed, but can't help but wonder if it has something to do with Betty White not wanting/being able to continue beyond this season, and perhaps the rest of the cast and crew couldn't see continuing without her.

Yes...thank you TV gods....I.can now watch tvland w/o a hot in Cleveland plug...I mean damn really every single commercial break there is the same preview...this show was horrible..I am sure that had at small part in them wising up and flushing this turd..seeing all those commercials was overkill..even if the show was the slightest bit intriguing that was enough to make we not want to see..all your shows suck...the casts of their shows are all old sitcom.stars..there shows failed once before don't know why they would try them again...once again.thank you thank you

Why is it that everytime Sean Haynes is in something or has a part of it the show gets axed? The millers now hot in Cleveland.
